I love gingerbread stories during the Holidays. I have a good size collection of gingerbread books, which I read to my kindergarten students as well as my own kids. One of my favorite books, from The Learning Workshop, is called Gingerbread Village. There is also a CD you can purchase with the song on it.
We made our annual trip to the tree farm today. My kids thoroughly love this day. My daughter said she learned about trees in school last year. She loved counting rings on the tree stumps to see how old the trees were. Learning. Everywhere she goes. Happy Tree Hunting!

Parents are also very concerned about kids who write their names backwards. In the younger grades, rest assured, that this is completely normal!
