Beautiful Oops is a fantastic book by Barney Saltzberg about how to turn a mistake into something wonderful.  It’s the perfect book for a child whose glass always seems to be half empty. My 7 year old and I read this book tonight, before bed.  She loved the books and loved the illustrations.  It looks a bit like a board book, so I was wondering if she would feel like it’s too baby-ish. Nope.  She loved lifting the flaps and seeing how the artist created something out of nothing.

I can’t wait to share this book with my kindergarten class!  I also found a website that has an interview with the author.  He shares how the idea for the book came about and some wonderful ideas for use in the classroom.
