I’ve been out book shopping again! I couldn’t resist. It’s Spring and it’s raining. If you can’t celebrate and rain, in the Pacific Northwest then you’re in for a very long lifetime of gray skies. As tired as I get of the rain, I love the fact that every single child in my class has a ton of schema for rain, rainy days, mud puddles, umbrellas, and rain boots.
This first book is done with a collage technique that I really like.
This book found its way into my shopping cart, simple because the title sucked me in. Onomatopoeia AND it’s a non fiction book! That’s a double whammy in my book!
Red Rubber Boot Day was a no-brainer. I have been in love with Mary Lyn Ray, since Katie Wood Ray introduced me to her.
It’s a great compliment to Mud, which is now on my all-time-favorite list.
I bought this one for my daughter. She loves Olivia and really enjoys the easy readers.
Happy reading!
