Animal Experiences

A few weeks ago (on my other blog) I left you with a little teaser, when I showed you this guy sticking his head into my car window.  If you are from the Pacific Northwest, you probably guessed we took a trip to the Game Farm in Sequim.

The animals roam free on the land, and you get to drive through, feeding the animals as you go.

The animals know what they want and aren’t afraid to ask for it!  Some animals are actually picky about the type of bread they will take from you.  Some animals prefer a darker whole wheat, and others will only accept the lighter whole wheat.

The birds were patient and picked up the crumbs.

This guy?  Not so patient.  Needless to say, the car needed a little bath when we were done.

This zebra was one of the picky guys.  He preferred light whole wheat bread and turned his head away if we offered him anything else.

I was afraid the llamas would spit on us if they didn’t get what they wanted.

There were tons cute little bunnies too.

When an animal this size comes walking toward your car, it’s time to get his snacks ready.  Literally, his head filled up the window of our car.

Many of the bears at the Game Farm are retired movie bears.  The actually sit down and wave at you, as you drive by.

The kids (and their parents) thought this was a terrific way to spend the day.  We tried to fill our Spring Break with as many fun, learning filled, activities that we could.  We laughed together, and loved seeing these animals.  It was so cool to be able to interact with animals in a way we have never done before.

Hopefully, this was an animal experience my kids won’t soon forget.
