Who Doesn’t Love Bubbles?

I have to admit, at age 37, I still get mesmerized by bubbles.  There is such beauty in bubbles and I love the challenge of making really big bubbles.  A few years ago I bought a great bubble wand set from Lakeshore Learning. My son was starting baseball and I needed a fun activity to bring along to keep my daughter busy. This set also comes with a mesh carrying bag.  Let me tell you, this kept many kids busy while their siblings had their hour and a half baseball practices.

The bubble set belongs to my own kids, but once in a while I borrow the set from my kids and take it to school.  I can’t begin to tell you the joy it brings, when you tell 23 kindergarten students that for writing today, they will be making bubbles.

Of course, I have to add a book about bubbles.  This is a great non-fiction book, and it even has a recipe to make your own bubbles at the back.

I love the poems that come from experiences with bubbles. In case you don’t read kindergarten writing, here it is.
Bubbles fly.
Bubbles fly to the sun.
Bubbles go down.
Bubbles don’t last forever.

Check out these linky parties.
